It is these two experiences that have influenced the direction of my life. I have since gone on to create a career in natural resource management/conservation and to deepen my yoga practice graduating as a yoga teacher and therapist. Sabrina Burke has been championing plastic-free and 'light-footprint' living as a way to conserve the health of the planet for future generations. Many products in the shops come smothered in layers of Clingfilm & Styrofoam, and she felt guilty sending a long-lasting item like plastic to landfill. Minimal Waste means avoiding sending plastic and other good things to landfill and finding ways to avoid or better deal with them, shopping smarter, getting to know local businesses and asking for better packaging and products. She helps people find alternatives in their local area and gives educational talks at events and schools. Minimal Waste CQ Facebook Page |
