Libraries

Following recent announcements from both the State and Australian Governments regarding COVID-19, Livingstone Shire Council have developed a staged approach regarding easing restrictions at all our libraries, as the first step back to normality.

Our goal is to return to the library service that we all know and love.  In the meantime in order to provide resources in the safest way possible we are introducing a Click and Collect service.

Click & Collect Library Service

Click & Collect pick-up hours will commence from Monday 18 May at Yeppoon Library and Emu Park Library 9am–2pm Monday to Friday

How it works

Step 1: Reserve items online or by phone
Log in with your library card and PIN on our
online catalogue to reserve items, or phone your local library to reserve items over the phone.

Step 2: We will notify you when your items are ready

You will be notified by email, SMS or phone call once your reserved items are available for pick-up.

Step 3: Visit Yeppoon or Emu Park Library between 9am-2pm Monday to Friday to collect your reserve.

Returning items
You can return items through the 24/7 return chutes available. Returned items will be cleaned and quarantined before being placed back on the library shelves.

Please be aware there will be no computer or printer access.

Byfield, Marlborough and Mt Chalmers Library

These libraries will operate their normal hours from Monday 18th May, as per our COVID Safe Plan

Our COVID Safe Plan requires:

  • One person at a time in the library
  • There will be no computer or printer access
  • Social distancing rules of 1.5m apply
  • If you are feeling unwell please do not visit the library
  • Returns will be quarantined for a designated period
  • Hand sanitizer will be available

Our greatest priority at this time is the health and wellbeing of library customers, team members and the wider community.
