Council’s Community Centre keeps Emu Park in the loop

Forty-five residents attended the first ‘Livingstone Loop’ community session held at the Emu Park Cultural Hall last week.

Councillor Jan Kelly who holds the portfolio for Community Development and Support said “it was great to see such a positive response by the community to this new initiative which is on trial until 16 June.”

“The Community Centre is a partnership funded through the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services and Livingstone Shire Council and is focussed on providing a suite of services, activities and programmes to increase connections within the community” said Councillor Kelly.

“Council is looking at numerous innovative and effective ways, such as the ‘Livingstone Loop’ community sessions, to deliver services to the wider community.
