Donations

Donations are items/initiatives that aren’t eligible for any other funding programs specified in the Livingstone Shire Council Community Assistance Programmes Policy, which are Community Grants, Regional Arts Development Fund, In-Kind Support Program and Events Sponsorship.

Donation request examples include:

  • Trophies/awards;
  • Contribution to a charity for operations; and/or
  • Contribution to travel/equipment for an individual representing their club or organisation outside of Livingstone Shire. 

Eligibility Criteria

    1. The majority of services and/or activities of the group or organisation must benefit Livingstone residents and improve the overall liveability of the shire;
    2. The initiative is not eligible for any funding programs listed in the Community Assistance Programmes Policy
    3. The initiative is relevant to goals and strategies within the Community Plan;
    4. Evidence of demonstrated attempts to raise funds from other sources, including where relevant, other government initiatives; and
    5. Has no outstanding payment owed to Council.  
    1. Resident of Livingstone Shire;
    2. Not eligible for any funding programs listed in the Community Assistance Programmes Policy;
    3. Relevant to the goals and strategies within the Community Plan;
    4. Evidence of demonstrated attempts to raise funds from other sources, including where relevant other government initiatives; and
    5. Has no outstanding payment owned to Council.
  • Under the Donations Policy, donations are not provided for:

    • Commercial groups, organisations or businesses;
    • Government agencies or Departments of Local, State of Federal Government;
    • Purchase of food or beverages; or
    • Part or all of Council rates/fees/charges

Please complete an Individual or Organisation Donation Request Form and submit to enquiries@livingstone.qld.gov.au

Applications under $500.00 will be assessed and approved by the General Manager of Communities.
Applications over $500.00 will be assessed and approved via Council resolution.
