The Role

Livingstone Shire Council has an opportunity available for a permanent full time Customer Support Officer who is passionate in providing customer excellence experiences. This position is responsible for providing accurate and appropriate responses to customers enquiries and issues. You will service internal and external customers via front counters, performing call centre operations as well as via electronic or written correspondence to Council and prepare request for action by Council business units.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, and verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to understand and negotiate solutions in a timely manner.  You will provide input into the development of work instructions impacting your work and contribute to the capability and capacity of the team and adopt and promote a positive working environment.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements to be successful in this position:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer service environment or similar.
  • Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver licence.
