Livingstone Shire Council effectively coordinates, plans, supports, and delivers all of Council's major and minor events, functions, civic ceremonies, conferences, summits, awards, and openings.
As part of our Arts & Cultural Strategic Plan, we are proud to bring quality national and state shows and artists to our community while also providing opportunities to showcase our amazing local talent. By working closely with management agencies, artist groups, and production companies, we strive to create exciting cultural experiences for the whole community to enjoy across various genres. In October 2019, Council launched the Capricorn Coast Region Event Strategy 2025 to guide a strategic and coordinated approach to growing existing events and attracting new ones within Livingstone Shire. This initiative aims to put the Capricorn Coast region on the tourism events map.
Events are extremely important to Livingstone Shire, serving as a key way to bring our community together and attract visitors to our region. They contribute social, cultural, and economic benefits to the area.
