Business Administration Trainee (Certificate III Business – 12 months)
- The Role

Over the course of 12 months as a Business Administration Trainee you will learn and develop a range of skills to confidently communicate with a range of people and understand administrative operations of an organisation. This traineeship offers you a foundation in front-end business operations, customer relations and providing administrative support.
The skills and knowledge you develop during the course of this traineeship can lead to a rewarding career in clerical or administration roles.

With support of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work – First Start Program Government funding, Council is offering the below Business Traineeship, commencing in 2025.
To be considered for this traineeship, applicants must:
- Be aged 15 years or older and no longer at school (at time of commencement of apprenticeship or traineeship).
- Be able to meet citizenship, residency and visa requirements to undertake an apprenticeship or traineeship.
- Not currently registered as an apprentice or trainee with another employer.
- Not have a qualification that is equal to or higher than the qualification you would receive by undertaking Council’s apprenticeship or traineeship.
- Not hold a Certificate III or higher in an unrelated field completed within the last 7 years (unless obtained during high school).
In addition, under the program applicants are encouraged to apply from the below identified disadvantaged groups:
- Young people (aged 15-24 years)
- Long term unemployed jobseekers.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Mature-age job seekers (45 years or older).
- Migrants and refugees from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
