Capricorn Coast will host international market gardening guru Jodi Roebuck this April to help farmers learn about Stacking Regenerative Enterprises and market gardening for profit.

Roebuck Farm on Sunday 14 April, Livingstone Shire Council’s latest capacity-building workshop’s goal is to help smaller-scale farm businesses further develop and innovate to become more profitable.
“We are excited to bring Jodi to Livingstone Shire to co-present this special workshop and share his knowledge,” said Rose Wright, Managing Director at Regionality Pty Ltd.
“With all the innovative agriculture and agritourism initiatives already underway in this region, Stacking Regenerative Enterprises provides an excellent opportunity for farmers to take the next step in innovating and diversifying.”
“Agriculture is a long-standing strength of the Livingstone Shire and surrounds, contributing $172 million to our economy,” said a Livingstone Shire Council spokesperson.
“With a climate and soils that can support the growth of a wide range of food products, we are keen to support our farmers and others in the community who are interested in expanding their knowledge of sustainable small-scale farming to help build resilience in our community.”
Tickets are now available for the Stacking Regenerative Enterprises workshop, which will explore themes including garden design and planting, Greenhouse and Micro Greenhouse management, composting, low-stress stock handling, soil feeding and testing, and finance. Held on-farm at
Cap Coast Vegies, Yeppoon, attendees will benefit from a hands-on program including practical demonstrations.

Stacking Regenerative Enterprises follows Livingstone Shire Council’s Resilient Rural Living event on Saturday 13 April, and will run from 8am to 5pm. Tickets include a catered Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea.
