The Role

Be part of shaping Livingstone Shire’s future! The Engineering Services Team has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Technical Officer to provide technical and administrative services for a range of Transport Planning activities and functions.

This role encompasses liaising with the public to assist with customer enquiries, undertaking reviews, assessments and investigations of works carried out on road reserves and undertaking compliance and applications processing for gates and grids as well as a variety of other tasks.

The ideal candidate will hold either a relevant qualifications (e.g. an Associate Diploma of Engineering Civil) and/or have significant experience in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of municipal infrastructure works.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualifications relevant to the position (e.g., Associate Diploma of Engineering Civil) and/or significant experience in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of municipal infrastructure works;
  • Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver’s licence; and
  • Possess or ability to acquire Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
