Work Experience

Thinking about doing Work Experience to find out what you want to do when you finish school?

Work experience is a formal arrangement and a valuable opportunity for students, while enrolled at a school, to get insight into Council and observe different aspects of work which may assist with students determining their career path!

Every year Council hosts students from various high schools across the region. Students have undertaken work experience in various areas previously including Library, Local Laws, Civil Design, Diesel Fitting, Business Administration, Community Services, Parks and Gardens, Carpentry, Environmental Health and IT.

Council gives consideration to all requests received for Work Experience! If you are interested in finding out more about doing work experience at Council in any area or job, contact your School’s Career Officer or email training@livingstone.qld.gov.au to find out more information.
