Livingstone Libraries launches ‘Cake My Day’ these school holidays!

Back

Livingstone Shire Libraries are launching their new cake tin collection, available to hire these school holidays, with the Cake My Day Competition.

Get creative in the kitchen these school holidays and whip up a number of creations with a collection of fun and quirky cake tins, without spending a cent!

Co-ordinator of Livingstone Libraries, Julie Bickley, said members of the library can now borrow a variety of novelty cake tins.

“The cake tin collection offers the community an opportunity to practice their cooking skills without parting with hard-earned cash and filling up your cupboards with a thousand cake tins for each occasion,” Julie said.

“If you are looking for some special inspiration for a celebration, event or just a quiet Sunday practicing your baking skills, head to your local Livingstone Shire Library and take your pick from the collection.

“The novelty cake tin collection includes a variety of shapes, from butterflies to bears, dinosaurs and flowers.”

You are able to reserve a cake tin via the Livingstone Shire Council website (https://www.livingstone.qld.gov.au/places-and-spaces/community-facilities/libraries), over the phone on (07) 4913 3850 or in person at the library.

Please be reminded that Yeppoon and Emu Park Library branches are still operating under reduced hours; Monday – Friday 9.00am - 2.00pm and Saturday 9.00am-12.00pm.

Byfield, Marlborough and Mount Chalmers branches are open and operating as per normal.
