Build your business or kickstart your idea with the Biz-Blitz program

Local business owners and startup founders have the opportunity to expand or kickstart their operations thanks to a partnership between Livingstone Shire Council and Advance Queensland. 

Biz-Blitz is an 18-week programme led by online marketing company Bright Sites, designed to help existing businesses and startups on the Capricorn Coast who are feeling stuck in a rut.  

Livingstone Shire Council Mayor, Andy Ireland, said Livingstone Shire is proving to be a hotspot for new and expanding enterprises, particularly in the wake of COVID-19 and it’s important that these businesses are given every opportunity to thrive in their industry. 

“If you’re a community member who is motivated to make change in yourself and your business, Biz-Blitz is perfect for you.” Mayor Ireland said. Business Blitz

“Existing businesses will learn how to re-discover their product-market fit, validate an online platform, build a website, and expand their operations and should expect to walk away with a crystal clear content marketing plan to help generate more customers. 

“Those wanting to validate their new business idea will be supported to create a complete branding suite, build a website, and outsource time-consuming tasks. 

“I suggest that you ask yourself if you feel that your product or service simply has to exist and will solve a problem for your customers. If the answer is yes and you’re prepared to learn the business skills required, you will be more likely to succeed.” 

To participate in the programme and succeed, you will need:

●          your own laptop and mobile phone; 

●          approximately 8 hours per week to commit to your business; 

●          one Saturday per month to come together with a group of like-minded, motivated individuals; and 

●          approximately $1,000 in capital to invest in your business. 

The cost of the programme is $200, which will be invested back into your business.  

Biz-Blitz kicks off on June 2, 2021 with spots filling up fast.
