Action-packed school holidays set for Livingstone Shire kids!
Outdoor movies, workshops, and adventure sports as well as illuminated animations are just some of the exciting events on offer from June 26 as part of Livingstone’s School Holiday programme!
Councillor Rhodes Watson, Portfolio Holder of Vibrant Communities (Tourism, Arts and Culture), encouraged parents or guardians to take their kids along to one or all of the exciting activities available.
“Council, as well as local community groups, have organised several fun and engaging activities for children of all ages to take part in over the June/July school holiday period,” Cr Watson said.
“This is fantastic to see, given the challenges COVID-19 has presented, impacting our ability to socialise with one another and we all know how important social interaction is for children’s wellbeing and development.
“Laser Skirmish, bush survival skills workshops, a light projection trail, high ropes and rock wall adventure, gymnastics, a mini Olympics, as well as outdoor movies and markets are just some of the awesome activities school kids can take part in.”
The school holiday events will be held from 26 June and will run until 11 July.
Booking are essential for most activities, so jump online now to find out more by visiting Council’s events calendar at www.livingstone.qld.gov.au/event-calendar
