Livestream videos to continue at future Livingstone Shire Council Meetings
Council’s first livestream video of its Ordinary Council Meeting has received a positive response from the community, and will continue to take place for future meetings.
Mayor Andy Ireland said a number of viewers tuned in to watch the meeting, which allowed the community to engage with important Council business while adhering to social distancing restrictions.
“Residents will be able to watch each meeting livestreamed via Council’s YouTube page, which also gives Council more capacity to reach residents across the Shire, who wouldn’t normally be able to make it to meetings,” Mayor Ireland said.
“Yesterday’s streaming gave us a good indication that this is something our community is interested in.”
Residents can find the link to Council’s YouTube page which will be promoted on Council’s Facebook page before each meeting begins.
Council meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month at 9am.
