Livingstone calendar of events jam-packed with activities across the Shire!

Back
Pool parties, scavenger hunts, silent discos, movie nights, and more are all on offer for the whole family this festive season!

Working alongside several businesses and organisations, Council is excited to deliver another jam-packed series of activities and events, available to youth of all ages and families throughout December.
Kicking off the weekend of 10 December with an end of school pool party, a silent disco within an inflatable igloo, twilight markets, and Carols by the Beach, there are over 25 events and activities available that the whole family can choose from.

Councillor Pat Eastwood, Portfolio Holder of Healthy and Inclusive Community, said while there were some return events for the kids, several new all ages activities had also been added to the schedule.

“To celebrate the festive season, Council has organised a Tides and Tunes music event at Yeppoon Foreshore Amphitheatre, where the community will be able to bring their picnic blanket, some food, and enjoy live performances from talented local musicians,” Cr Eastwood.

“A Community Christmas Fair will also kick off the holiday spirit on 10 December at Beaman Park. Attendees will be treated to a Christmas light forest, live carol singers, artisan market stalls, free rides, and a special visit from Santa.

“The popular Twilight Markets are also being held on Saturday 18 December, while the New Year will be welcomed in with a spectacular Laser Light display on Yeppoon’s foreshore, which is an exciting first for the Capricorn Coast.

“The previous school holiday programmes have been a huge success, with hundreds of local kids turning up to take part in a wide variety of engaging and educational activities, however this time Council wanted to ensure all visitors and residents could participate in the festive fun,” Cr Eastwood said.

“I sincerely commend Council staff and all of the local groups and organisations for providing the community with a fantastic variety of worthwhile events and activities to enjoy these Christmas holidays.

“I encourage anyone interested to jump online and put their name down for those events that require registration, as spots will be limited.”

Bookings are essential for most activities, so jump online now to secure your spot by visiting Council’s events calendar.
