Council Libraries and Service Centres open to all

Livingstone Shire Council libraries and customer service centres will remain open to everyone, despite some new restrictions for unvaccinated people coming into effect tomorrow.
 
From Friday December 17, unvaccinated people will be unable to attend a range of venues and facilities across the state including; restaurants, cafes, hotels, pubs, clubs, taverns, bars and Queensland Government owned galleries, museums or libraries.
 
Council would like to reiterate that these restrictions, imposed by the Queensland Government, do not apply to Council libraries, service centres, the Community Centre and Strengthening Family Connections. 
 
Both vaccinated and unvaccinated staff and patrons are welcome to enter any of these facilities. 
 
The Yeppoon Lagoon (swimming and grassed area) will also remain open to everyone regardless of their vaccination status as well as landfill and transfer stations.
