Business growth program set to help boost Livingstone Shire small business
Small to medium businesses in Livingstone Shire are invited to submit their applications for a six-week business growth program facilitated by local consultancy Profit Box.
Funded by Advance Queensland’s Regional Start Up Support Funding and supported by Livingstone Shire Council, the program will support up to 20 businesses to implement a profitable business growth strategy.
The program will cover topics such as optimising underperforming revenue activities, recognising and utilising unrealised revenue streams and implementing practical business growth strategies.
Course facilitators Elize Hattin and Phil Martin have been successfully working with small business entrepreneurs to innovate and grow in Central Queensland for over a combined 20 years, making them the ideal presenters for this program.
Acting Mayor Adam Belot, said the program is a great opportunity for small business in Livingstone Shire to create and implement a plan for growth.
“We know the success of any business depends on their ability to collaborate with people smarter than themselves. This is especially true in Small Business where often a business owner feels that they are needing to do everything themselves,” Cr Belot said.
“This ultimately can lead to ‘burn out’ and as they say ‘if you want to go fast go alone, yet if you want to go far go together’.
“This program will provide businesses with additional support to develop a strategy that works for them, give them the opportunity to step back and reassess the next steps, and will cover issues that are really impacting small business right now, including managing inflation and rising costs.
“Participants will engage with course facilitators through an initial in person health check, weekly collaborative zoom meetings and a time management and productivity masterclass.”
Applications are open now and participants can register by visiting https://businessgrowthprogram.profitbox.io/ and completing the online form.
