Acrobatics, Aerials, Circus Acts & Body Contortion - Barbaroi has it all!
Roll up! Roll up! The circus is coming to Emu Park!
As part of an action-packed CQUniversity Village Festival line up, residents and visitors will have their chance to witness Barbaroi, a cyberpunk circus showdown, next month.
Inspired by a world of shadows, where anything goes, and the gritty underbelly of society, Barbaroi is a blend of high-octane circus, contemporary cabaret and physical theatre.
Complemented by finely tuned lighting and special effects, the show will leave audiences of all ages spellbound and wondering on the limits of human abilities.
Portfolio Holder of Vibrant Community (Tourism, Arts Culture), Councillor Rhodes Watson, said it’s a huge privilege for Livingstone Shire Council to host the performance.
“Barbaroi was awarded the Best Circus and Physical Theatre Show of the Adelaide Fringe Festival last year and it’s wonderful to see a show of this calibre come to our community,” Cr Watson said.
“I’ve been told the audience should prepare for high drama, adventure and a lot of grit as performers reinvent the art form in circus in innovative ways.
“Council is also giving away two family passes to the show and instructions on how to enter can be found on the Livingstone Shire Council Facebook page.”
