Eleven local artists come together to express their ‘True Colours’

Back

A new exhibition at Yeppoon’s Fig Tree Galleries will feature artwork from eleven local artists throughout the month of August.

Community based artists' group, Latitude 23 Arts, is once again presenting its annual exhibition, with the artists combining a wealth of experience and skills to creatively express the theme of “True Colours”.

There is an element of truthfulness, intrigue and revelation about showing your true colours. Each artist is expressing their uniqueness; formed from their life experiences, their landscape, values and passions, through their chosen art form.

’True Colours’ celebrates the joint talents of eleven local artists, including Nanette Balchin, Jo-Ann Beatty, Helen Kavanagh, Sharon Kirk, Peta Lloyd, Yvonne Moloney-Law, Thalo Nine, Alana Read, Marie Seeman, Sambuddhananda Saraswati and Lynn Zelmer. All hail from the Central Queensland region and are keen to display their talents and share their work with you.

This engaging, surprising and diverse exhibition will be on display from Saturday 6 August to Sunday 28 August, with the opening night starting from 5.00pm tonight.

As part of the exhibition, the artists will also be holding a Studio Treasures Sale on 14 August to allow the community to explore, enjoy and purchase some of their treasured works at a great price.
