Sandshapers carve out creations at Mulambin Beach this Easter

Family bonding through the art of sandcastle building is what Sandshapers is encouraging as part of its upcoming workshops at Mulambin Beach this Easter.
The Noosa-based company is offering participants an intriguing and fun-filled sandcastle workshops for both children and adults, giving them a unique opportunity to learn about making sandcastles while sharing happy moments with others.
The free sand sculpting and ticketed workshops, both taking place from 10 – 13 April, are one of the many eggciting highlights featured in Council’s Easter on the Capricorn Coast programme.
Councillor Rhodes Watson, Portfolio Holder of Vibrant Community (Tourism, Events, and Culture) said this year’s programme was filled with opportunities to get your kids out of the house and into nature.
“With the increased use of technology impacting our daily lives, this can sometimes distract us from spending quality time with our loved ones,” Cr Watson said.
“However, you can make life more interesting and engaging for yourself, your kids and family, by participating in activities like these sandcastle workshops over the school holidays.
“Sand sculpting provides children and adults with a fun approach to developing their artistic talent in a natural environment. These workshops are a great way for nurturing artistic flair while developing cooperative skills.
“Participants will learn from the experts; the facilitators have been creating sand-sculptures in Noosa for more than 16 years and they are very passionate about teaching and engaging people on how to build fantastic creations in the sand.
“I encourage families with children of all ages to come down to Mulambin Beach from 10 April and take the opportunity to spend some quality family time while enjoying the beautiful outdoors,” Cr Watson said.
