Blueprint 2030 puts Livingstone on the path to Economic Success
Livingstone Shire Council has today endorsed the Blueprint 2030, Council’s strategy for Economic Growth and Investment. The Blueprint sets out the objectives and action plan for the economic growth of Livingstone Shire through to 2030.
The Blueprint 2030 is an action orientated, deliverables focused document that prioritises the region’s six core industries, Agriculture and Food Technology, Modern Manufacturing, Tourism, Construction and Infrastructure Services, Defence and Military Training and Energy Transition.
Mayor Andy Ireland said the endorsement of the Blueprint 2030 is the launchpad for Livingstone Shire’s economic future.
“Livingstone Shire is a diverse region, home to a wide range of industries and an ever growing population, and we need to ensure we have a roadmap to continue this growth trajectory,” Mayor Ireland said.
“The Blueprint 2030 sets out a clear action plan, focusing on four key themes and is supported by six core actions that underpin the Blueprint’s deliverables.
“Council wishes to thank the community, local businesses and industry stakeholders who provided valuable input during consultation to shape the Blueprint into the strategic action plan we have endorsed today.
“The adoption of Livingstone Shire Council’s Blueprint 2030 demonstrates our commitment to delivering for our community. It sets out our priorities for the Shire, while retaining the community values and lifestyle that we are celebrated for.”
The Blueprint 2030 serves as a roadmap for achieving growth targets. As a result, the plan is designed to remain flexible to adapt to evolving circumstances and secure favourable outcomes for the community. Certain initiatives are already underway while others are still in the planning stage.
