Land Valuations in Livingstone Shire
Back
The Queensland Government’s Department of Resources released property land valuations for several Queensland local government areas on March 26th, 2024.
There has been an overall increase in valuations across Livingstone Shire of 26 per cent since the last issue in 2022.
The department’s website - https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/land/title/valuation/annual/explained/livingstone - carries all of the information needed to properly understand your valuation.
If you object to the valuation of your property, you can lodge an objection with the Department of Resources.
Objections can't be lodged through Council as the Queensland Government’s Department of Resources determines land valuations.

Land valuations are used by local governments across Queensland to determine property rates but are only one input into that calculation.
Property owners should not infer that the average increase across their shire is in any way an indication of movement in property rates.
