Ring in 2025 with Livingstone Shire Council’s Spectacular New Year’s Eve Celebration!

Livingstone Shire Council invites residents and visitors to join the community for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration at Yeppoon’s beautiful beachfront!

This family-friendly event promises an evening of incredible live entertainment, dazzling performances, and attractions for all ages.

Co-Chair of the Recreation and Culture Committee and emcee of the event, Councillor Andrea Friend, said Council’s New Year’s Eve event is a highlight of the annual calendar, providing a perfect opportunity for friends and families to come together and celebrate the start of a new year.

“We’re thrilled to offer an exciting program filled with live music from some of our region’s most talented performers, alongside breathtaking circus acts, interactive workshops, and a spectacular laser light show to cap off the evening,” Cr Friend said.

“This free event showcases the incredible creativity and talent within our local community while providing a fun and memorable way for everyone to ring in 2025 together.”

Event Highlights:

  • Live Music:
    Enjoy a fantastic line-up of local talent, including:
    • Scott Foden kicks off the evening at 5pm with his acoustic tunes.
    • Raining Roses, a rock/pop band led by the talented Sophie Rose, takes the stage at 6pm.
    • Celeste Caught feat A2Z Entertainment keeps the energy high at 7pm, and 8.15pm with an electrifying performance.
  • Circus Fun and Workshops:
    Meraki Circus brings the magic with:
    • A Circus Play Space (5pm–6:30pm) for kids to learn juggling, balancing, and more.
    • A breathtaking Aerial Artist Performance at 6:45pm.
    • Roving Entertainment with Capricorn Coast Entertainment - Stilt Walkers and hula hoop ladies with an LED hula hoop workshop at 7pm
  • Laser Light Show:
    At 8pm, watch the night sky come alive with a spectacular laser light show—a colourful, vibrant finale to the evening’s celebrations.

Celeste Caught, one of the evening’s headline performers, shared her enthusiasm for the event.

“Nothing commands the atmosphere of an event like live music. It is the soundscape that truly captures the emotion of any event, and creating this soundscape is what I love doing,” Celeste said. 

“When we perform, we aren't just playing songs, we are building memories and bringing people together by creating a warm atmosphere with the songs that people love. See you all on NYE!”
