Council Invites local creatives to Apply for RADF Grants
Livingstone Shire Council is proud to announce that Round Two of the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) 2024/2025 is now open!
Local artists, groups, and organisations are encouraged to seize this exciting opportunity to bring their creative visions to life and contribute to our region’s vibrant arts and cultural scene.
Over the past five years, the RADF program has delivered remarkable outcomes for our community, providing funding support to more than 70 diverse events, workshops, festivals, and art installations.
These initiatives have not only enriched our cultural fabric but also created opportunities for collaboration, professional development, and community engagement.
Councillor Lance Warcon, Co-Chair of the Recreation and Culture Committee emphasised the importance of the RADF program in empowering the region’s creative sector.
“RADF continues to be a cornerstone of arts and culture in Livingstone Shire,” Councillor Warcon said.
“Through this program, we’ve seen incredible talent flourish, unique stories shared, and lasting impacts made on our communities. I strongly encourage local creatives to apply and take advantage of this funding opportunity to showcase their skills and bring their artistic ideas to life.”
RADF is a partnership between Arts Queensland and local councils, including Livingstone Shire Council, and aligns with the Creative Together 2020-2030 strategy to strengthen Queensland’s creative industries.
By supporting projects that promote arts, culture, and heritage, RADF plays a key role in fostering diverse and inclusive regional communities.
Applicants will also benefit from the expertise of the Regional Arts Services Network (RASN), facilitated by CQUniversity from 2022-2025. RASN offers guidance and support, helping artists and organisations undertake professional development, build strong networks, and deliver innovative projects.
“Local artists, organisations, and community groups looking to make a difference through arts and culture are encouraged to apply for this round of funding,” Cr Warcon said.
