Yeppoon Lagoon Parking Meters to Switch to ‘Pay by Plate’
Yeppoon Lagoon parking meters will switch to a new software system this week, requiring drivers to enter their vehicle registration number instead of a parking bay number when paying for parking.
There are no changes to parking fees, time regulations, or payment methods; parking remains $2.50 per hour from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm daily. Payments must still be made on arrival at the parking meters, but there is no need to display a receipt on your dashboard, as your payment will be linked to your vehicle’s registration.
Signage will be in place to guide users through the updated ‘pay by plate’ process. Council appreciates the community’s cooperation in ensuring a smooth transition.
For those looking for alternative parking options, free parking is available in the Yeppoon Town Centre multi-level carpark and other designated areas.
