    The Role

    Livingstone Shire Council has a fantastic opportunity available for a temporary Vegetation Rehabilitation Officer to join the Natural Resource Management team.

    Working closely with different community groups, this role will support Council’s direction by providing land rehabilitation services and protected plant mitigation activities within the Shire.   • Technical Officer Aquatic Facilities - 3570

  • Systems and Quality Officer - 3388

    The Role

    Livingstone Shire Council has an exciting opportunity available for a permanent full time Systems and Quality Officer. The ideal candidate will have proven skills and experience in the conducting and reporting of internal or external management system audits as a sole auditor, a member of an audit team, or as the team leader.

    Reporting to the Supervisor Systems and QA, this position will provide specialised administrative and technical support in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner and will assist the Infrastructure Portfolio in relation to issues and improvement initiatives for Council’s administration systems, the Quality Management System (QMS) and quality assurance related services. It also provides support with regards to quality internal and external audits.

  • Civil Designer - 2948

    Council is seeking an experienced Civil Designer with high level skills and knowledge in civil engineering design to join its Infrastructure Design team in Yeppoon. The successful candidate will investigate, prepare and critically review detailed designs, drawings and cost estimates for Council municipal infrastructure projects.     To be considered for this traineeship, applicants must:

    • Be aged 15 years or older and no longer at school (at time of commencement of apprenticeship or traineeship).
    • Be able to meet citizenship, residency and visa requirements to undertake an apprenticeship or traineeship.
    • Not currently registered as an apprentice or trainee with another employer.
    • Not have a qualification that is equal to or higher than the qualification you would receive by undertaking Council’s apprenticeship or traineeship.
    • Not hold a Certificate III or higher in an unrelated field completed within the last 7 years (unless obtained during high school).

  • Expression of Interest - Casual Plant Operator/ Labourer

    The Role

    Council is seeking to appoint qualified and experienced plant operator/labourers on an ongoing casual basis to join its Urban Operations team.  Candidates will have demonstrated plant operation and labouring experience with a strong commitment to safety practices and will contribute as an effective and positive team member. Your depot is based in Yeppoon however, travel across the Livingstone region will be required as part of the role.
